Has anyone else noticed this trend in the last few seasons where the place where episodes end sometimes is strange? It used to be that every episode ended with the panel and (usually) elimination. Now, though, it seems like there are several episodes every season, particularly in the beginning of the season, end in strange places.

I'm personally not a fan of this trend. It just seems weird and makes episodes feel incomplete.

I so agree that ep 2 of this cycle was a total wtf. I feel like we weren't warned at all that this was basically still the audition phase? And there was nothing in the episode itself to indicate that it was going to be resolved the next week. Very weird!

Exactly. This cycle just seems weird. I like quite a few of the contestants and some of them seem really good (and some of the boys are really nice eye candy), but everything just seems so strangely organized.

I haven't watched ANTM for a few seasons now, but I recently watched the last season of The Bachelorette again after years of not watching it, and they did the same thing. It used to end with a rose ceremony at the end, but now they will cut out in the middle of it or do it at the start of the next episode. Must be a new trend for competition-style reality shows to keep people watching. idk how many people stop watching once their favorite goes home, but that might be why, to get people to watch just one more week and hopefully keep them watching the rest of the season. Just a guess tho.

That was what I noticed too as I was watching the Bachelorette this season, every episode was like that. I had no idea ANTM was doing that too, but I don't really like it.
